The duration of the application and the type of brace are determined per patient, always in cooperation with the attending physician.
In the 70s, Jacques Cheneau, based on the theory of the three-dimensional correction of scoliosis, created and presented for the first time the brace bearing his name.
In the 90s, he made some modifications. It is now used worldwide.
The Cheneau brace applies pressure to the convex part of the curvatures and reliefs to the concave part. It can interfere with vertebral rotation and the alignment of the spine (coronal balance).
Aesthetically asymmetric, smaller and lighter (400-600gr), the Cheneau brace (for scoliosis and kyphosis) and Light Cheneau brace (for scoliosis) have an easy application, with no metal depressors, with all their enhancements at their interior, opening-closing at the front, and offering absolute autonomy to its user.
Not only a supportive but also a corrective brace, functional and easy for the everyday life of a teenager.
At delivery, multiple fittings of the Cheneau or Light Cheneau brace are done to ensure perfect fit.
The Scoliosis SLC offer free of charge during treatment:
